So, in art class, we have this one project where we design and paint a TIME magazine cover.

Mine is Final Fantasy themed with the topic of "When is the final Fantasy?" The design has Lighting (AKA FFXIII Girl) in front with Ashe (FFXII), Yuna (FFX), Auron (FFX), Vivi (FFIX), Squall (FFVIII), Sephiroth (FFVII), a random Mithra (FFXI), Luneth (FFIII), Faris (FFV), a moogle, and a chocobo crowded behind her. All of this is in front of a background of the Skycity of Bhujerba blended with Macalania Woods.

So far, I have finished painting Bhujerba and Macalania. Sadly, neither of which look the way they were supposed to. Unfortunately, I have to transfer all those people I mentioned before onto the piece of masonite I'm painting on. This means that I get to redraw those people. A lot. So far, it's five times.

1. To sketch the design
2. Go over design so the lines are more clearly defined
3. Traced design onto the back with an ebony pencil on a light table
4. Traced over design on the front to press ebony pencil imprint onto masonite
5. Redraw lines on masonite because the transferred lines weren't dark enough

Finally, I'm into the painting of the charaters. I have to paint on multiple washes of acryllic paint. On everyone. All twelve of them. The project is due at the end of May.

Please excuse me while I go hit my head on a wall for ever thinking that I have the time to do such an elaborate painting. Even the teacher said that I'll be painting for a couple years before I'm done.
